I really don’t like ranking things. Judging things on a point scale isn’t appealing to me. Categories are fine, though. Love, Hate, or Indifferent are my boxes, and I find it healthier to focus on the things that I truly enjoy than dwelling on what I hate. So today I thought it might be fun, in the spirit of the Billboard Chart and in honor of four decades on this earth tomorrow, to make a Top 40 list of my favorite things. And since it will be apples, oranges, bananas, and kiwis, there will be no possibility of comparing or ranking anything.
